PMU/Microblading

After Care Instructions

Wash wound area daily with a mild cleanser and blot dry…do not scrub area

Apply ice packs to treated areas for comfort.  It is not uncommon for the area to be red and

swollen for a few days following the procedure.

Brow Clients:  Apply thin layer of Aquaphor/A&D ointment twice a day for 5-7 days.

Lip Clients:  Apply thin layer of Aquaphor/A&D ointment as needed for dryness.

Eyeliner Clients:  Do not use any post-op ointments and avoid mascara until lash line is healed,

usually 5-7 days. Use Ice packs to relieve swelling.

Areola Clients:  Apply thin layer of Aquaphor/A&D ointment twice a day for 2 days ONLY.

Use provided gauze pads and sleep breasts exposed to air.

Do not use any products containing Retin-A, Glycol or Alpha-Hydroxy Acids on treated areas

EVER to avoid fading or color changing to an undesirable shade.

It is normal to experience some peeling during the healing phase…please do not PICK.

Call your technician immediately and discontinue all topical ointments with signs of infection,

abnormal swelling, redness, itching or pain.

Avoid Sun, salt water, chlorinated pools, hot tubs and saunas for 1 week.

After your permanent cosmetics have healed, using a sunscreen and applying a thin layer of

Vaseline to the treated area before swimming in chlorinated pools will help prevent premature fading.

Do not donate blood for 1 year.

Before an MRI scan, inform the radiologist that you have had permanent cosmetic make-up made

with iron oxides.

Your procedure will appear much darker the day it is done.  The darker color will remain for

approximately 3-4 days.  You will also experience swelling, tenderness and some flaking.  It is

imperative that you keep the area moist with Aquaphor/A&D ointment (as directed), and do not pick.

Picking will result in loss of pigment.  It may be several weeks before final results are achieved.
