Looking to get established in Las Vegas?

If you are a new permanent makeup artist, or an artist relocating to Las Vegas, the Clark County health deparment requires that you apprentice with an existing artist for six months.

Before can get your permit!

​

You will have the opportunity to work on live models under the careful guidance of our instructors. This way, you'll be able to see the microblading/PMU process in action and get a feel for what it's like to be a professional artist. Being around other artists- both those who are still learning and those who are experienced.

​

The 6 months of your training, you will transition into a Junior Artist and this will allow you to put your new marketing skills to work, start attracting clients and building your portfolio.  This is an excellent opportunity for you to work on clients with the additional support needed while building your skills and confidence.

​

For Nevada students, take your education further with a 6-month apprenticeship program.

Las Vegas students are eligible to apply for an apprenticeship program that lasts for six months total, as required by the Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) to get your body art license.

​

Once you have your body art license, you are able to work on your own in an area that is zoned for tattooing.

Scheduled month by month guided models, must bring your own model/client, keep 100% profit, if I provide your model it is. 50/50 split.

A $30 shop fee PER appointment scheduled, includes full equipment usage (bed, lighting, supply tray, sanitation), you must have your own client supplies such as machine, needles, ink, etc.

Physical learning:

​

  • Cognitive learning and or physical learning 

  • Shadow to perfect technique

  • Perform on models with guidance

  • Minimum of 6 models to be completed during the course of 6 month program but of course the more models the better, but only require 6

​

***Note: NO EXPERIENCE/PREREQUISITES  NECESSARY! You do not have to be licensed cosmetologist/esthetician/body art to take any class. However, each state has its own regulations on how to become licensed or obtain your Body Art card. The Body Art Card/License is required to perform any tattooing on a client for the state of Nevada. You will have to contact your state health department for information.

 

BLOOD BORNE PATHOGENS CERTIFICATE of COMPLETION is required prior to taking my class since all classes student will be working on a live model. Which can be completed and valid nation wide on this link

 

Students learn how to: Protect themselves from blood or blood-containing materials. Act quickly and safely. Clean the area that has blood or blood-containing materials.

Payment is due right before I sign the form you have to submit to the SNHD.

The apprenticeship starts when you pass the written test at the SNHD Health Department.

​

To be eligible for a Body Art Card or Microblading Apprentice Card, the applicant must:

​

  • Be a minimum of 18 years of age.

  • Have a minimum of six months of experience or training.

  • Possess current certification from a course on bloodborne disease transmission that meets the requirements of the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard.

  • Possess valid identification that adheres to our ID policy.

  • Print and complete the Apprentice Application and Employment Verification form, with the Mentor Information section completed and signed by the mentor.

  • Schedule an appointment to take a 30-question, multiple-choice sanitation examination.

  • Obtain a score of at least 80 percent on the exam. Results of the exam will be available immediately. Applicants who do not pass can retake the exam. Prepare for the exam by reviewing the training books and the Regulations Governing the Sanitation and Safety of Body Art Establishments:

      After working for at least six months under a Body Art Mentor, the apprentice should:

    • Print and complete the Body Art/Microblading Experience Verification form, with the Mentor Information section completed and signed by the mentor.

    • Visit one of our offices to upgrade. No appointment is needed.
